The exhibition will display a new batch of 106 ceramic treasures on loan from the Palace Museum and 7 collections from the Hong Kong Palace Museum to showcase the development, evolution and outstanding achievements of ceramic craftsmanship in the Ming Dynasty.

"Lights and Colors" is the 10th exhibition jointly organized by the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Palace Museum. It will be open to the public in the 3rd exhibition hall of the Hong Kong Palace Museum from the 10th.

Ceramics are a major collection of the Palace Museum. Among the more than 1.86 million items in the collection, ceramic cultural relics account for about 360,000 items. They are mainly inherited from the palace collections of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and the categories are impressive. The "Streaming Colors" exhibition displays a new batch of 106 ceramic treasures loaned from the Palace Museum, almost all of which are on display in Hong Kong for the first time. Among them, there are 21 national first-class cultural relics, including Hongwu underglaze red pine, bamboo and plum pictures, jade pots and spring vases , orthodox blue and white alum red color sea water dragon pattern plate, etc.

Luo Xianliang, deputy director of the Palace Museum, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, saying that the ceramics of the Ming Dynasty left a profound mark on the history of world crafts. This exhibition presents the most distinctive categories in the Forbidden City collection, demonstrates the history and culture of the Ming Dynasty and the wisdom of ceramic craftsmen, allowing the audience to experience the unique charm of Chinese ceramic art and its profound cultural connotation.
